how to write a content warning
If a content warning is needed before a story, EAPM suggests using an editor’s note format. The editor’s note is placed at the top of the story.
Examples for text:
- Editors note: This story contains descriptions of rape.
- Editors note: This story contains quotes that use slurs against disabled people.
- Editors note: This story contains discussions about suicide.
Examples for video and audio:
- A note from our editor before we begin. This story contains discussions about suicide.
- A note from our editor before we begin. This story contains descriptions of rape.
- A note from our editor before we begin. This story contains quotes that use slurs against disabled people.
